On 21st April, Trivitron celebrated its 17th year of glory and success. Starting as a small medical equipment and instruments distribution company, we have grown to become the largest Indian Medtech company of the country. The celebrations included knowledge sharing, channel partner meet and a brain storming session to grow further apart from the wonderful, glittering event, TAAL 2013 Award Nite.  Top performers of Trivitron were awarded for their hard work and efforts through 2012-13.

Cellenium 19, the indigenously manufactured hematology analyser, has become first Indian designed, Indian manufactured Hematology Analyzer to have CE certificate thus becoming First Indian hematology analyzer which will be exported to European union. This development primarily stamps Trivitron’s reputation as quality manufacturer of Haematology Analyzer. For Large Laboratories using Cellenium 19, it will also ensure smooth compliance to national and international accreditations like NABH, NABL and CAP. The instrument will now comply for large government orders that require CE compliance. Cellenium 19 which is already being exported to Middle Eastern countries and ASEAN region can be now exported to all European union countries.

Trivitron participated at Arab Health 2013 at Dubai International Convention Centre from 28th to 31st January 2013 as Gold Sponsor of the event and launched its own manufactured / innovation products in the areas of Laboratory diagnostics, Imaging science and Critical Care & Operating Room. The event reflected brand Trivitron across the breadth and length of the venue, establishing it as a globally acclaimed fully integrated medical technology company.

The event was also the launch pad for Trivitron’s recently acquired Finland company,Labsystems Diagnostics, specialising in Neonatal Screening, Cardiac biomarkers, Fertility and Infectious disease testing analysers and kits. The products were introduced in EMEA region.

Trivitron Inaugurates Biosystems Diagnostics manufacturing facility at TMTP, Chennai.
Mr.Swaran Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary/ Chairman and Managing Director, SIPCOT, Govt of Tamil Nadu inaugurated South Asia’s first state-of-the-art facility Trivitron Biosystems Diagnostics Pvt ltd at Trivitron Medical Technology Park to manufacture In Vitro Diagnostics reagent in India for the emerging markets of the world. Trivitron has collaborated with Biosystems, Spain, one of the leading manufacturers of clinical chemistry reagents & instruments, immunofluorescence reagents & instruments, immunoturbidimetry reagents, etc for over 3 decades for a joint venture to establish this manufacturing facility. This is a step towards Trivitron’s multi modality medical technology leadership with innovation and manufacturing facilities in medical technology space. Global acquisition by Trivitron Healthcare paves its way to Point of Care Diagnostics
A first of its kind for an Indian Medical Technology Company to go abroad for acquisition with an investment of 15.8 million Euro in Finland.

Trivitron Healthcare announces the 100% acquisition of Ani labsystem, a leader in the In Vitro Diagnostic space with unique global position in the fast growing Neonatal Screening and Cardiac Bio markers screening areas. Ani Labsystems is a group of companies consist of Ani Biotech, Ani Labsystems, Biopoint and K3.

Trivitron is acquiring all these four group companies and the merger is known as Labsystems Diagnostics OY- A Trivitron Group Company. This global joint venture brings forth access to global manufacturing facility, a first of its kind for an Indian Medical Technology Company to go abroad for acquisition.

With this acquisition, Trivitron has the capability to enter into Point of Care Diagnostics, Immuno Diagnostics and Molecular Diagnostics, the three of the fastest growing areas in the In Vitro Diagnostics field. Trivitron-Diasorin alliance will cater to the Indian InVitro Diagnostics market of around USD 500 million and Indian Immunodiagnostic market of around USD 165 million

Trivitron Healthcare has announced its strategic partnership with Diasorin Group, a global leader in USD 11 billion immune segment to enter immunodiagnostic market in India. Trivitron has already made its mark as a largest player in Indian IVD division, offering products in value and premium segments. Its partnership with Diasorin will complete Trivitron’s offerings in the IVD product market by entering high growth immunodiagnostics market.

The DiaSorin- Trivitron partnership has formed the capital companies DiaSorin Trivitron Healthcare Private Limited, in which the parties have respectively 51% and 49% stakes. The company will directly operate in the Indian diagnostics market thus placing Trivitron as a leader in immunodiagnostic market over next 3 years.

Trivitron has been a contributor in this segment wherein the company installed Immunoassay analyzersin almost 70% of labs in India. It is the first company to launch the CLIA (Chemi Luminescence Immuno Assay) platform in India.

This is a historical milestone in our Trivitron's History! Starting this September, after extensive trials, the lab diagnostics division has done the first billings of our own manufactured, Lyse (trademarked Lycel) for both Mindray and Rayto systems. The team has also started billing of our own EZ Cleaner , Probe Cleaner (trademarked EZCel , ProbeCel).

Roadshow at Nagpur
The Lab Diagnostics road show in Nagpur was held on the 27th of October 2012 with over 40 doctors and 10 channel partners present. The roadshow focused on mind share about Trivitron and the exhaustive range of IVD products that we offer.

Sebia Capillarys HbA1c Evaluation completed at Dr. Mohan's Diabetic Center Chennai
The lab diagnostics team has installed the Capillarys 2 FP instrument at Dr Mohan’s Diabetic Centre, Chennai, where we have successfully completed first evaluation of Capillarys 2 FP model for HbA1c assay. We have done this evaluation by doing split sample studies i.e. all samples processed on Capillarys 2 FP and competitors different technique and found Capillarys shows excellent co-relation with other technique.

September 2012: Dr Bhuvaneshwar joins The Board of Trivitron
The “Valve man”, Dr. Bhuvaneshwar, joins Trivitron Healthcare as the Director, Innovation and Education, with an objective to lead the company’s new initiatives in Innovation and Education. He is an acclaimed researcher in the development of medical devices such as tilting disc heart valve prosthesis. Dr. Bhuvaneshwar also aims to strengthen the company’s manufacturing base thereby helping them to become India’s leading medical device company. He will be housed in the new R&D center in Science Park in IIT Madras and will also be overseeing all the R&D collaboration initiatives between IIT Madras and Trivitron Group.

Prior to joining Trivitron Healthcare, Dr. Bhuvaneshwar headed the Biomedical Technology Wing of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum since 2000. He had been associated with the Biomedical Technology Wing since its inception in 1976.

September 2012: Trivitron inks pact with Johari Digital Healthcare

The new partnership, Johari Digital Healthcare - Trivitron Healthcare will market Johari-Trivitron manufactured physiotherapy products.

Trivitron Healthcare has entered into a partnership with Johari Digital Healthcare to market physiotherapy products, point of care diagnostic products for global markets and for obtaining patents in the field of physiotherapy. Named as Johari Trivitron Medical Innovations, the new partnership will fulfil the requirement of contract design and engineering/ manufacturing. It will leverage contract research and development projects from the global partner.

The new partnership between the FDA approved innovative medical device manufacturer Johari Digital Healthcare and Trivitron Healthcare will enable marketing of Johari-Trivitron manufactured physiotherapy products, wherein the products are manufactured by Johari and marketed by Trivitron Healthcare.
Johari Digital’s manufacturing facility is one of its kinds; US FDA approved facility, conforming to highest standards of technology manufactured in India.

Over 40 doctors attended the workshop from nearby districts attended the event where our Alpha 6 equipment was demonstrated and the image quality was well appreciated by the doctors.

10th and 12th August 2012: IRIA Gujarat Chapter
Trivitron Healthcare participated in the IRIA Gujarat chapter between the 10th and 12th of August 2012 with the display of our Alpha 6 and Prosound 2 machines, which was well received by over 150 radiologists who were present in the event. There was an overwhelming response for our products at the conference.

9th August 2012: CME on Radiology Equipment Technology
Trivitron participated in a CME at the Melmaruvathur Adiparasakthi Trust of Medical Sciences, Melmaruvathur, Tamil Nadu on the 9th of August 2012, displaying our Prosound 2 equipment. The participation was marked well by the interest shown by the doctors and students who visited our stall and had a hands-on experience with our machine on display.

3rd and 4th August 2012: Channel Partners Training, Northern Region
The Northern region Channel partners training was held in Delhi on the 3rd and 4th of August 2012 with over 25 personnel attending the interactive training on our Prosound 2 and Alpha 6 products. The highlights of the training included corporate and product overview, followed by a session on imparting basic service skills.

2nd August 2012: CME at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad
Trivitron participated in a CME on “A Decade of Innovation: The Thin Prep Pap Test at the Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, on the 2nd of August 2012. The Liquid Based Cytology (LBC) Technology, to help in the screening of cervical cancer was well appreciated by doctors from various divisions at Apollo Hospitals. The ThinPrep Pap Test is a liquid-based pap test that employs a fluid transport medium to preserve cells and an automated process to eliminate debris and distribute a representative portion of cells on a slide in a uniform, even layer, thus improving the quality of the sample prepared on the slide.

29th July 2012: CME on Prevention & Management of Kidney Diseases, Mumbai
Trivitron participated in the CME on Prevention & Management of Kidney Diseases held at Shanmukhananda Hall, Mumbai on the 29th of July 2012. The dignitaries including Dr Rajan Ravichandran, Dr Kiran Sathe, Dr Rushi Deshpande, etc., gave talks in renal care and preventive management for kidney diseases. Over 50 renal care specialists participated in the conference and was well received by all the participants.

21st - 22nd July 2012: Vision 2020, Madurai
Trivitron - Technolas participated in the 8th Annual Vision 20- 20 - The right to sight India conference held at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai on the 21st and 22nd of July 2012. The conference covered different aspects of hospital management with focus on OT management, Optometrist and optical dispensing and enhancing management skills in the hospitals. Over 300 participants apart from ophthalmologist were mainly Optometrist, key decision makers and technicians.

20th - 22nd July 2012: CT Update, Goa
TRIVIRON - HITACHI participated in the CT Update held in Goa from the 20th to 22nd of July 2012 showcasing our products-ECLOS and SCENARIA. The conference was focused on CT applications and new developments in the CT field. Over 400 radiologists across west and south India attended the conference.

16th -17th July 2012: Channel partner training at Bangalore
The channel partner training at Bangalore on the 16th and 17th of July was a very successful event attended by nearly 35 personnel from across southern India including States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala , Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka. \The Training focused on our ATMT product line of P2 & Alpha 6. The sessions went into great detail on our technical superiority, USP’s of the Product, Competitor weakness and competing models. An extensive hands-on session on both Alpha 6 & P2 was arranged. Additionally, the service training focused on P2 servicing.

14th July 2012: EPIDURIA 2012 at CMC, Vellore
Trivitron participated in EPIDURIA 2012, state level CME held at Christian Medical College, Vellore on the 14th of July 2012. The conference was well participated by over 200 final year medical students and doctors. We held interactive sessions with the students about Trivitron and the range of products we offer.



13th - 15th July 2012: Dr Harnam Singh state level CME
Trivitron participated in the three day State Radiology conference & CME at IIT Chennai from the 13th to 15th of July 2012. The conference was attended by over 150 radiologists, which included top radiologists of the country. In addition to radiologists and decision makers, researchers and students actively participated in the conference. We demonstrated the working of Prosound Alpha 6, whose features were well appreciated by the visitors to our stall.


7th July 2012: Over 500 Ophthalmologists witness live cataract surgery performed using VICTUS
Trivitron- Technolas participated in the prestigious Annual Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society India (IIRSI) conference held at Hotel Le Royal Meridian, Chennai on the 7th and 8th of July 2012. The two day event was marked with various live surgeries, symposiums, attended by international speakers/delegates. A live cataract surgery by Dr Kasu Prasad Reddy at Maxivision, Hydrebad, was performed using our World’s First Femto-Cataract Technology equipment-VICTUS, which was witnessed and appreciated by over 500 ophthalmologists. Our products Victus and Excimer laser machines were promoted to update the ophthalmologists on the role of current femto technology in cataract.

The training was attended by personnel from across the western region that included Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh regions. The Program was very well received and envisaged a lot of interest from the channel partners.

May 16th 2012: CSR- Trees Census
The tree census in Chennai enters its second phase today, on the 16th of May 2012, with the support of Trivitron Healthcare as students began the process of enumerating the trees at the Theosophical Society. The event was attended by distinguished luminaries Mrs. Santha Sheela Nair, I.A.S., Retd., Vice Chairperson, State Planning Commission, Dr. N Raja Hussain, Director, University Students Advisory Bureau, University of Madras and Lion T.A.S. Ramamurthy PMJF, First Vice District Governor, District 324-A1. The volunteers will complete the census in the society and move to other parts of the city, with Trivitron Healthcare backing their efforts at every step. The tree census will soon move to the streets and compounds of Chennai with the enthusiastic backing of Trivitron Healthcare.

28th April 2012: Trivitron aims to enter CAPILLARYS HbA1c market
The CAPILLARYS HbA1c kit is designed for the separation and quantitation of the HbA1c glycosylated fraction of haemoglobin in human blood by capillary electrophoresis. The Capillarys HbA1c test kit method is performed using Capillarys 2 Flex Piercing instrument; and has been certified by the NGSP and the IFCC; providing a high throughput method with clear-cut and precise results. Trivitron will soon join hands with Sebia in launching Capillarys HbA1c, for which training was imparted to the IVD team on its features and utility by Dr. Youssef, Export Manager, Asia pacific of Sebia, France.

27th April : Neonatal Screening and Cardiac Marker Education Program:
Newborn Screening, or NBS as it is commonly called, is the process of screening newborn babies for metabolic, genetic and blood disorders. It involves checking for a large number of diseases at the time of birth so that some sort of preventive measures can be applied.
Diagnostic Division within Trivitron has joined hands with Anilabs Systems, a well -known global player in the neonatal segment to market neo-natal screening products in India. Through this segment, Trivitron will be able to provide cost effective solutions and care in neo-natal segment.

An in-house training was conducted by Mr. Timo Lasola, Product Manager, Mr. Ilari , Marketing Manager and Dr. Aimo , Managing Director of Anilab Systems, Finland for the IVD team on orientation of products from Anilabs Systems and Anibotech solutions.

Mr Dhruv Kamat and Mr DHiren Trambadia, Product Managers from Mumbai did knowledge sharing on Hematology product, Cellenium Jr and also on a couple of other softwares on Biochemistry.

24- 25th April 2012 : Trivitron Celebrated TAAL
TAAL is an annual event that is celebrated to mark Trivitron’s Founder’s day where Trivitronians from across the country meet under one roof. TAAL 2012 was held at Ooty, a week-long event filled with strategy meeting, adventure, networking, learning and enjoyment.

21st April 2012: Trivitron forays into Critical Life Segment:
Trivitron forays into Cardiac and Critical Care, and Operating Rooms solutions with its own manufactured products as well as global collaborations. Introducing to the world, the emerging focus area, Critical Life Support Solutions (CLSS), offering complete Operating Room solutions, ventilators, defibrillators, patient monitors, ECG systems, infusion pumps and syringe pumps. We also offer dialysis machines, stress systems, holter systems, etc.

19th to 21st April 2012: An update on Color Doppler and hands on workshop
An All India Application Training program on Color Doppler was organized at our Chennai office from the 19th to 21st April'12. All the Application specialist across India attended the program. The program was conducted by Mr. Arul from Hitachi Aloka Medical. The 3 day Application Training focused majorly on 3D applications, Cardiology applications , Version updates, Equipment Presets on Prosound series & Hitachi Hi vision series. The Sessions were very interactive and all the three days time had to be extended. As a part of the program a short soft skills training was also given. The Prosound Alpha6 and Hitachi Hi vision Ascendus equipment with various probe configurations were used for live sessions. All the participants went through extensive hands on session. The Participants were evaluated prior & post training and each one showed exemplary improvement.
