A first generation entrepreneur of over 25 years of experience in healthcare segment, who changed the way the medical technology and diagnostics industry works today, bringing them within the reach of medical practitioners across India.

Entrepreneurship Profile:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, MBA from Loyola Institute of Business Administration and a Doctorate from IBAM, Kolkata he worked with different global organizations gaining experience in medical technology.

In 1997, Trivitron was founded by Dr.Velu and tied up with several world leaders in medical technology to cater to over 20 medical specialties across India. He also established the Trivitron Medical Technology Park, South Asia's first state-of-the-art medical technology manufacturing facility and the Trivitron Innovation Center, a center of excellence for biomedical research & development and design at IIT Madras.

A visionary, Dr. Velu changed the diagnostics field from a highly fragmented industry that served as purely backhand function, into one that plays a leading role in healthcare today. His efforts united leading diagnostics laboratories across the country under the Metropolis banner to set the highest standards of service.

His latest venture Medfort is a chain of single specialty ambulatory care hospitals across the country that will soon link some of the nation's best doctors and technicians with cutting edge technology and international accreditation ensuring that patients get the very best care while continually setting the bar higher in terms of consistent healthcare delivery.

Dr. G. S. Bhuvaneshwar - Director, Innovation & Education
Dr. G. S. Bhuvaneshwar is the Director, Innovation & Education of Trivitron Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Chennai. Earlier, Dr Bhuvaneshwar has headed the Biomedical Technology Wing of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum in 1976. He had been associated with the Biomedical Technology Wing since its inception.

Dr Bhuvaneshwar has obtained his B.Tech -Electronics and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Madras. He has also been a research fellow, holding a PhD in Biomedical Technology from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum.

Dr Bhuvaneshwar has been honoured with several awards including the Distinguished Alumnus Award -IIT Madras in 1999, shared FIE foundation award in 1994 for the development of Chitra Heart Valve and NRDC-Awards for meritorious invention for Chitra Heart Valve in 1994, Material Research Society of India-Medal Lecture award in 2002 and Spictra Membrane Oxygenator in 2006.

Dr Bhuvaneshwar has conducted research in the development of cardiovascular devices and blood compatibility of materials. His major contributions has been in the development of medical devices such as tilting disc heart valve prosthesis (TTK-CHITRA HEART VALVE -- TTK Health Care Ltd, Chennai), Hydrocephalus Shunt System (CEREDRAIN - Hindustan Latex Ltd, Trivandrum), Hollow Fiber Membrane Oxygenator (SPICTRA - SIDD Life sciences Ltd., Chennai) and Woven Arterial Prosthesis (developed in collaboration with South India Textile Research Assn, Coimbatore. Technology transfer to TTK Healthcare Ltd, Chennai in progress). He has two US, one European and 5 Indian patents and has authored 25 research papers and a book chapter.

A quality system conforming to ISO17025 for biomedical testing services has been implemented in the Biomedical Technology Wing of the institute under his leadership and accredited by COFRAC of France. The wing is currently in the process of implementing a major expansion programme for providing greater support to the medical devices industry in the areas of testing, R&D and GMP.

Sameer D Saral , Director Operations
An M.Sc (Tech) in Instrumentation from BITS, Pilani, he has around 24 years of experience in sales, marketing and technical service of all diagnostics products throughout the country. Earlier the Head of Technical Support Division of Ciba Corning Diagnostics / Chiron Diagnostics (South Asia region), Sameer is one of the founders of Trivitron Group and possesses enormous market knowledge of the Indian Diagnostics Industry. He has also handled the Imaging business briefly and is now handling the group Operations, Manufacturing activities for the Diagnostics Products of Trivitron, Regulatory affairs and the Ophthalmology Division business.

Chandra Ganjoo - General Manager, HR & Admin.
Ms.Chandra, a Post Graduate in Business Management & International Marketing joined Trivitron in 1999.She has rich expertise in Medical Systems and Diagnostics Healthcare sector working in HR, Administration and Marketing departments. She has been strategically supporting Trivitron with proper HR endowment and deployment to achieve corporate vision and creating an edge over competition in the Medtech industry. During 13 years with Trivitron, she has been instrumental in creating a robust team of professionals across sales, service and support departments. Chandra has significant exposure in wide range of HR and administration roles including international Joint Ventures

Nitin Sawant - General Manager, Diagnostics Division
An Research Post Graduate in Biochemistry, he has worked for 10 years in Clinical Research Laboratory. Later he joined Chiron Diagnostics, USA for Nucleic Acid Diagnostics. He has also worked in Bayer Diagnostics. Nitin joined Trivitron in 2000 as National Technical Manager handling responsibility of Application and Service support for Diagnostics. Later he started handling responsibility of Product Management also. With his experience in laboratory and in various segments of diagnostics, he currently heads the Diagnostics division.

Prema. R - Group Financial Controller
A post-graduate in commerce and finance management with more than 20 years experience in financial accounting and management of operational accounts, she has worked with reputed Indian companies like the Butterfly Group (Home appliances), Dharani Group (Cements, Finance, Sugars and Hotels) and the K.G. Group (Textiles). She has been with Trivitron for the past 9 years.

S Kalyana Raman, General Manager, Group Marketing and Corp Comm
Kalyana Raman joined Trivitron in 2008 as General Manager, Group Marketing and Corp Communication. Since 2008, he has been involved in creating a truly multinational Indian Medical Technology company.

He has been associated with healthcare committee of Federation of Chambers of Industry in India (FICCI) & Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and is a member of All India Institute of Management Association (AIMA), representing the industry in various forum. Prior to joining Trivitron Healthcare, he was associated with India’s top pharmaceutical company for over 17 years, in sales and handled sales and marketing at various capacities, moved on to product marketing and brand management.

He is a chemistry graduate with Master in Business Administration and overall experience of over 23 years in sales, marketing and brand management.

Ramesh Verkot, Director-Sales, Devices
A science Graduate from Bangalore University. Has about 22 years of experience in sales, marketing and Business development with pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Industry across South Asia. Started my career with pharmaceutical companies like Kopran, Ranbaxy and Emcure and then moved Medical devices industry with Boston Scientific International heading the south India business and later moved into Medtronic - Vitatron Pacemaker division heading South Asia business. Has a good understanding of Medical devices and pharmaceutical market in South Asia. Currently heads the Medical Devices division - (Markets Boston Scientific Range of cardio, CRM, Neuro and Endo products) of Trivitron.

C.G.Sriram, General Manager, Manufacturing
A graduate in Electronics & Tele Communications Engineering, from Madras University. He has over 22 years of experience in the Electronics manufacturing industry. Started his career as a Design & Development engineer with a MNC and has held various senior positions in Production & Engineering in the Healthcare Manufacturing Plant. He has rich experience in medical technology manufacturing space and has undergone Extensive training in Sanyo Electric Co Ltd Factories in Japan & Malaysia on Manufacturing.

P Perianayagam, Head- Strategy and Biz Development
He has rich experience of over 25 years rendering customer support service and Strategic Biz support in medical technology space in leading multinational as well as lndian medical technology companies. His experience also includes technical support, business management, service franchise operations, spare parts supply chain management, healthcare project management, construction management, M &A , Post Merger Integration etc. His strength has been Strategy development/ deployment, Biz development, talent pool creation, building team, training and development and delivering high quality services at affordable cost for customer delight. He had successfully managed 120 cr Customer Support business with P&L responsibility through a team of 120 professionals and 25 channel partners across South Asian markets including Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. He had also served as Project Manager for the 200 cr International Healthcare project under Dutch aid. At Trivitron, he is responsible for Strategy development / deployment and new Biz development initiatives. He is also responsible in building and supporting the Middle East and African market business initiatives.

Veeraraghavan K L- Group Chief Financial Officer
A Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and IFRS Certified Accountant with over 21 years of professional experience, with various MNCs including Polaris Financial Technology (PFT), HPCL, Rediffusion DYR, etc., with well-rounded responsibilities in the Corporate Finance domain, closely inter-connected with business in the areas of Accounting , Business & Functional processes expertise, Assurance & Compliance, Business Planning & Analysis, Budgetary Control , Country Entry strategy & Restructuring, MIS & Decision Support, Taxation - Direct & Indirect, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Areas of Expertise include setting up of Units across the Globe as part of Country entry strategy & STPI/SEZ. Migration of Accounting & Financial system of 18 Subsidiaries to Offshore as part of Corporate restructuring and cost optimization. Tax Optimization for Polaris, handling all new initiative programmes & Automation of various financial /Accounting processes.
